Domuz Çukuru
A Modern Robinson Life: Domuzcukuru
A remote bay with no access through beside Datca. Electricty is provided from a generator, water from a well. As the transmitters are insufficient, radio reception is off, TV as well. Faraway from civilisation; this is a place where you can live a romantic Robinson life swimming in crystal clear water, diving in the deep blue sea, breathing fresh air of pine forests in peace.
Historic remains spread from high hills to sea level clue in
that this bay was an ancient Greek Village. 70 decares of land extending from
the valley back to the sea is covered with pine forest. The 600 meters long
beach starting from where the forest ends is beautiful by night and daylight.
Laying on the open sand, accompanied by waves, you can stargaze with the
amazing view of the shining stars and the bright sky.
Domuzcukuru took his name from the wild porks which came to eat the figs which fell from the trees which grew on this bay years ago.
Only accessible by seaway, Domuzcukuru is one of the favorite stops of yachts on their blue voyage to Knidos or Marmaris.
